Will is telling a police officer about how his laptop was stolen at a coffee house. The officer is sarcastic but a detective turns up and starts seriously investigating. Will and Grace get in a fight about muffins. The detective leaves.
Jack tells Grace about how he is going to group therapy about his problem of being too much of a giver. Karen turns up and Grace asks her if she has the samples she wanted. Karen produces a urine sample.
At group therapy the detective shares his experiences and says instead of asking a hot guy he met out he said he would help him with his stolen laptop – its Will. He says he needs to be honest but when he turns up at Will’s house he makes an undercover date at a hot gay club on Saturday night.
Grace gets really annoyed that Val (who is crazy) moves in next door and opens fashion design in competition with her. She wants to hit Val but Karen holds her back. On his undercover mission, the detective comes on to Will but he doesn’t really notice. Slowly however he starts to feel weird.
Grace and Val compete for the client and Val begins mimicking everything Grace says. Jack sees Will and ‘freaky teeth guy’ together. Back at Will’s apartment, he admits to Will that he is a gay and comes clean about everything. But Will gets things in his teeth and he gets freaked out and leaves.
Will questions him in the hall and he admits there is no gay laptop ring. He also gets him to go out there are be open. But he leaves without making a date with Will.
