Second episodes are usually a disappointment. You have your first episode and teasers and such before the series starts which have this massive build up, then comes episode two revealing it is not as cool as you thought it would be.
Anallegies including Jake 2.0, episode 1 - cool technology, episode 2 - turns into just another spy series. Also Cold Case, starts off investigating this long forgotten case, episode two its a different case, just another cop drama.
Perhaps it is unescapable then. And The O.C., failed to be the acception. It just seemed to take the edge of the series somehow. I guess I was hoping for a more, lawyer and bad kid, working together. Yet by episode two the reality has set in that he had a wife and son and it was going to be another teen drama. |
