 Remember when they said they were going to cancel Stargate SG-1? Well instead they continued the show and developed a spin-off too which was to be known as Stargate Atlantis. As Stargate SG-1 fans we prayed that the spin-off would not spoil the original series. Finally it arrived. And it was good. Very good!
In Stargate Atlantis a team has traveled to the Pegasus galaxy where they are setting up shop in the ancient city of Atlantis (surprisingly enough ;) with no way of returning back to Earth any time soon. Everything is fairly happy other there except that the galaxy is plagued by a race known as the Wraith.
Rather than being led by the military, the team is led by a diplomat named Dr. Elizabeth Weir. She is assisted by Major John Sheppard (the military guy) and Dr. Rodney McKay (the science guy) among others.
