 Just when things are looking their darkest, what should appear on Children's TV - none other than the legendary Rainbow. Like many shows where characters are sometimes replaced when actors leave, the big furry bear Bungle seemed to get replaced. Why the original costume couldn't be used I am not sure though. Perhaps it was a real creature. Only time will tell.
Of course nobody really noticed the half bear half human creation that was Bungle as George the pink hippo was alwas on hand to distract people by fluttering her oversized eyelids and acting dumb. I guess George was the original blonde really. Then of course there is Zippy. Named so because he has a zip on his mouth, he was an awesome character that can always be revived once a decade to appear in Marmite commericals.
Contuning the odd line of creatures there is also Geoffrey claiming to be a human and reading random bedtime stories at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. He could always be found with blonde hair and a cheesey grin plus his lackies Rod, Jane and Freddy.
