 Just when it seemed The O.C. would rise to become the unrivalled best new teen drama out there along comes One Tree Hill. Identifying itself from the start as an emo teen drama, it has the added bonus of having basketball too.
The story revolves around Lucas Scott who joins the basketball team much to the dismay of the family that disowned him – Nathan Scott his brother who is current captain of the basketball team and his father Dan Scott who is living out his dreams of being a basketball star through Nathan.
Not only are the two battling it out on the basketball court but they are also fighting over Nathan’s girlfriend Peyton Sawyer, an up coming cartoon artist and indie rock fan. Peyton does a great job of adding the depressing emo side of the show.
