 When the show was first tested before being aired the phrase "what the hell is this?" sprange to mind. The results showed that Malcolm in the Middle was unpopular and would fail. Thank god nobody pays attention to market research or speptical networks.
Malcolm in the middle is a story about family. There is the husband Hal, the wife Lois and 4 kids. Francis has been shipped off to military school which leaves 3 of them. The oldest Reece, the youngest Dewey and Malcomn - hes in the middle.
Malcolm is a genius and at school is in the gifted class. Reese is more of the less bright more bully type of position. Dewey is still in his cute and innocent phase.
