 It’s the classic storyline of girl gets divorced from her husband and movies back with her daughter to live with her family in Connecticut to become a juvenile court judge. Judging Amy is a show that you first often ignore due to its theme or timeslot but once you begin watching you will not be turning over in a hurry.
Amy Madison Grey, played Amy Brenneman is a character based on Brenneman herself and her experiences as a judge in Connecticut. Of course the show wouldn’t be what it is without the rest of the cast too including Amy’s mother Maxine, an opinionated but wise social worker who fights for the children. It’s touching.
Amy also has two brothers, the older being Vincent a journalist who is cool though often does not so well received actions, and the younger being Peter who is married to Gillian. Amy is also joined by courtroom assistant Bruce Van Exel.
