Opens on Planet Express, Amy enters on her party board. Leela tells Amy that Kif called her a few hours ago. Amy goes to the phone to find Kif still on the line. Bender reveals he has many messages for Amy but pushes his antenna down deleting them all. Kif breaks down and cries but Zapp Brannigan interrupts them and forces Leela to break the video screen.
The professor enters and announces they have a new delivery. Scruffy brings in a giant pill. Amy asks them to drop her off to see Kif but the professor says no. The ship sets off and Fry, Leela and Bender go to sleep to preserve oxygen.
While they are asleep Amy emerges from the giant pill and pilots the ship towards the Nimbus which Kif is aboard. On the ship Zapp is watching Casper the Friendly Ghost. The Planet Express ship docks with the Nimbus Moonraker style and Leela is woken by Zapp lying on her bed.
Amy and Kif are together talking in his quarters. They kiss and Kif says he wants Amy to move in with him. Amy points out it is tiny but Kif says he will live on the ceiling. Amy is still reluctant though but Kif shows him the holoshed. He takes her into the mountains and a shoreline of a jungle where he tries to pluck the moon from the sky and ends up falling in.
He then shows her a castle in the clouds but Amy says she is still not ready. The holoshed malfunctions and all the evilest people from history burst in and begin causing mayhem and destruction. They follow Amy and Kif to the bridge. Zapp fires at them and blows a hole in the ship.
It begins to suck everyone out and Kif is unable to hold on, his hand coming out of his glove and he grabs onto everyone as he heads towards the hole. He is about to get sucked out when the moon comes bouncing in and plugs the hole.
In sick bay the doctor says that everyone is pretty much ok and that Kif is pregnant. Kif is overjoyed by Amy doesn’t look too happy. Kif explains how his species becomes pregnant even though he is a male. Fry points out that Kif grabbed everybody’s hand though and as Zapp has been using Kif’s private washroom, any one of them could be the mother.
They decide to enter a test and each person gets into the chamber. It then spins round and people who are not the mother are thrown out. First Fry comes out, then Zapp is thrown out. Zoidberg comes out next after living in the machine. Finally Amy is thrown out leaving Leela inside as the mother.
Kif explains that even though the DNA came from Leela, as Amy inspired the original feelings of love, she is his Smizmar. Later Amy and Leela go out to share a drink. Amy sets her calendar to motherhood mode and it removes everything on her schedule to make way for motherhood mode.
At the baby shower Amy introduces Kif to her parents and Fry announces the start of the gift giving. Bender gives them his bronze booties and Leela gives them the basket she was abandoned as a child. Amy’s parents announce they have had her party board converted into an ironing board. Amy freaks out and runs for it.
Kif realises his pregnancy is here and they head off to his home world, Amphibious 9. Kif tells them he must go alone but after he falls at the first hurdle Leela carries him while Fry, Bender and Zapp hack away the vegetation. Bender finds a giant frog that eats him but Kif inflates his head and the frog spits out Bender and runs off.
Kif arrives at the swamp he was born and a weird woman creature calling herself the Grand Midwife. She begins to brew the tea of new life. The Grand Midwife continues to go through the ceremony pretending Amy is there. Kif drops a tear and begins to drink when Amy arrives on her ironing / party board.
They drink the tea together and Kif releases all his young onto the floor. The gooey tad pole type creatures head towards the water and Leela and Amy protect them from the predators trying to eat them. They make it into the water and Kif explains they will crawl back onto land in twenty years. Ends with scenes of the young swimming about. |

Grand Midwife: “And now I will take my leave. I live here so I won’t actually be going anywhere, but you don’t have to talk to me anymore” |
