Good Morning Earth is on TV. Lela goes to answer the door and it turns out to be a doorbell baby. By Bender beats it into a pulp. However it turns out just to be a card inviting Lela to a reunion at the orphanarium. Lela says she doesn’t want to go back as they all made fun of her.
Bender and Fry convince her to go back. Lela looks at a group photo and mentions she used to have a crush on one of them. They try and pick on Lela again but Adlai defends him. Adlai says he is a doctor and says he can make Lela a second eye.
Bender considers adopting kids due to the government payments of $100 a week. He adopts 12 of them and heads off to pick up his cheques. Later the group discuss Lela getting her eye. Fry says she doesn’t need it but she decides to have it done anyway. When the bandages are removed Lisa looks almost normal.
Lela loves her new eyes and parades it around town. Bender comes in with his kids and shows off his cheques but the kids want food yet again. Adlai asks Lela to go out with him, she accepts. Bender takes them to a bar and they begin trashing the place. Adlai gives some flowers to Lela. He is totally average and regular about everything.
The gang go out to dinner with Lela and Adlai and Fry points out that it is good to be different as everyone except him and Adlai are the only normal ones. Bender comes in with a huge cheque and Bender and the kids run for it. Adlai says he is thinking about having kids, Lela agrees. Zoidberg continues to ink everyone.
At home Bender sends the kids to bed and works out he is actually losing money on the kids. Lela suggests they adopt a kid. They go to see Bender and ask him they want to adopt one. Bender is arrested when the building is stormed by police accusing him of child cruelty and many of other things. The kids make fun of 3rd ear and Lela suggests that they adopt that one. Adlai says they can give her an operation but Lela is annoyed and has her second eye removed.
Next day Bender donates his cheque and all the kids to an orphanarium. They have drawn a picture for him but he screws it up. They walk off but he eventually pins it up and they all dive on him and hug him. |
