Joey comes in with some rusty old garden furniture he says he got for free. Roll opening sequence. Monica says her mother hired her to cater at their party. Rachel comes in to Chandler’s apartment to find Joanne there.
At her mothers Monica questions her and she says that she hired Monica because she is good. Pen who appears to be guest starring comes through Joey’s door and wants to sell him encyclopaedias. At the party, Monica realises that her finger nail is in some of the food.
Her mother says it is ok and pulls some frozen lasagne out of the freezer. Monica storms off. At Joanne’s office Chandler tries to break up by there are getting it on. Joanne gets a call and says she has to go. She handcuffs Chandler to the chair and locks her office before disappearing off.
Rachel wonders what is in there and she goes in with Joanne’s other assistant to find Chandler in there. Later Chandler is reading a magazine with his teeth and then gets a phone call from Joanne saying she will be a while longer. Chandler calls Rachel and asks her to unlock the handcuffs.
Rachel finally un-cuffs Chandler but then realises that Joanne will know she was in her office. Rachel tries to lock him up again but Chandler resists. Pen shows Joey the amazing things he can learn with an encyclopaedia. Phoebe finds Monica in her old room which is now a gym. Phoebe suggests they change the meaning of ‘pulling a Monica.’ Pen tells Joey about the book set but Joey says he has no money. He finds $50 and decides to buy the V book.
Rachel eventually makes a deal with Chandler – she will make what she saw very generous if he gets locked up like before. Monica rubs it in when she saves the day with a new dish. Her mother says that she is proud of her. Next time Chandler comes into Central Perk is admired until Joey points out it’s a lie.
Joey tries to talk about things beginning with V but they soon switch over to the Korean war and Joey is lost again. Next day at work Rachel comes in to Joanne’s office to hind her handcuffed to the chair. |
