The kids look for an anniversary gift for their parents. Lois says she is looking forward to a romantic dinner with Lois. Quagmire announces they are playing golf tomorrow but Brian reminds Peter it is his anniversary tomorrow. Peter tries to think of a plan to dump Lois so he can go with Quagmire.
Next morning he leaves Lois breakfast in bed and a letter before sneaking out. The letter say it is an anniversary scavenger hunt an her first clue is at the Quahog mini mall. At Barrington Country Club, Quagmire, Brian and Peter prepare to tee off. Next thing you know the whole of Wall Street is trying to buy waffles.
It’s raining but Peter refuses to go in. Quagmire and Brian head into the club house. Peter is struck by lightning and leaves his body to find death. Death takes Peter back to the night Lois met first met him and explains how someone was killed during this time – death sees himself with an afro.
Death tells Peter he can’t go back into his body until he has a revelation. Death says he has a meeting and goes off telling Peter if he doesn’t want to follow procedure he can stay here in limbo. When nobody is watching Peter steals from his bodies wallet. Lois continues to track down clues.
Peter tries to guess at his revelation. Peter and Death arrive back at death’s mothers house who is really annoying. Death takes Peter back to when he first met Lois’s dad. He had Peter dumped in the ocean to die. However he is rescued by Quagmire, this is presumably where they first met. The navy crew start singing but death’s mother interrupts.
Death tells Peter he won’t help him have the revelation that could save his marriage. Peter says he will help Death get a girlfriend if he gives him the revelation. Peter takes him to the beach and he tries to hit on some girls, pretending his name is Josh. However they laugh at him as he lives with his mum.
Lois gets another note from the top of a greased flag poles. Death tells Peter that Peter knows nothing but Peter tells him he learned from the best – Quagmire. He picks up 3 chicks at the bar when they look back but Peter is in love with Lois. Death tells Peter he has fallen in love with Amy who works in a pet store.
Death goes in to talk with Amy but all the animals make noises and drown him out. In more memories Peter leaves the ship and gets into Cleveland’s hippy van but they get chased by KKK members. Peter thinks they are ghosts. Peter calls Death a chicken and they get into a fight. Death finally arranges to go out for a coffee with Amy.
Cleveland’s wife lets it slip to Lois that Peter is golfing. There is another memory of how Peter gave up $1,000,000 to marry Lois and he realises that is his revelation. He has to notice Lois more. Lois storms up and finds Peter with Peter Frampton playing in the background playing their song. Meanwhile on his date, Death finds Amy really boring and kills her. |
