 What could we worse than being a young college drop-out with no skills, no job and no interests - well I guess you could die and suffer conscription into service as a reaper to go around allowing people to pass on to the great beyond. As I am sure you can tell from the way it is worded that is pretty much the snopsis of the show.
George (Ellen Muth), the lead character, doesn't actually realise that she is dead until Rube (played by Mandy Patinkin) points the fact out to there. Rube happens to be the teamleader of the grim ereapers and takes George under his wing and introduces her to the rest of the gang who died with unresolved issues.
Although Dead Like Me hasn't been the most successful show, it has picked up several award nominations. Bah, who am I kinding, they aren't even victories. Don't be fooled though, Dead Like Me has an entertainingly darkly funny edge.
